For my senior Journalism Capstone, I filmed a documentary about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the fitness industry, specifically local, boutique fitness studios in the South Bay area. "Essential" tells the stories of a handful of business owners who battle the reopening procedures set by the State of California, and how the California Fitness Alliance is challenging them.

The accompanying article, "From Tiger King to Chloe Ting: How fitness broke the Internet but not the bank in 2020" describes the positive impact of the shift online for fitness influencers, social media, and at-home workout equipment.
